I look forward to working with you on this project. It is extremely important to address the diversity in our area, especially as we become more culturally complex. So that all members of the community regardless of their culture or background can receive excellent quality care at our facility. The characteristics of a leader of a project influence the outcome of the project. Characteristics that I feel are most important for the leader of this project would be someone with a high emotional intelligence, strong work ethic, empathy, positive attitude, and integrity. Emotional intelligence as well as empathy allow a leader to connect with the group that they are leading as well as influence them to complete the task at hand. A strong work ethic and a positive attitude lead to a positive work environment that will motivate the group. Integrity allows the group to place their trust in the leader to complete the task at hand and have the groups interests in mind when completing the tasks. The leader that I would choose to lead this project would be Gail Senge. Gail Senge was a Clinical Nursing Coordinator that I worked with at Excela Health Westmoreland.
