If you go counterclockwise through the outside of the classroom you see the students cubbies lining the wall with a large circular rug (with enough space for all students and teacher), this will be for group discussions and large group activities like dancing or music. Shelves that hold the necessary items (center tags, letter/number or the day, flashcards, stories etc.) for the teachers day are readily available and accessible. In the bottom right corner of the classroom, you can see the library. In this center there is a cozy run, shelves with books, stuffed animals and puppets. There are two bean bags and a large cushion on the floor for added comfort. On the other side of the library book is a writing desk for the students to practice their writing skills with paper, pens, markers etc. Behind the writing center is a long table with two computers. This is where the students are able to practice using computers by playing games. Our next center is the science center, which is blocked off by shelves and also has a window. The window has curtains and makes the space feel welcoming.
