Tho... ugh the planning process of a project is very meticulous, there is always room for errors. For that specific reason, risk response plans are developed and executed. Having this plan in place is an effective tool to successfully resolve problems within a project. Purpose of Risk Plan A risk response plan is a plan that is used to monitor any problems that may rise throughout the project. The purpose of this is to effectively find solutions to the problems that are encountered in the project. The plan can be costly but in the long run it can be cost effective since you can potentially avoid considerable problems (Cobb, 2012, p. 115). In some instances, in avoiding one problem, you may encounter secondary risks and residual risks. When you are solving one problem you must keep in mind that secondary and residual risks are possible. Secondary risk occurs when you address the main risk and residual risk is the remains after the risk response is developed (Cobb, 2012, p.115). For example, when working with people that remote work you may encounter the primary risk of your workers having technical issues. One way to mitigate this risk would be to do test rollouts to identify any potential issues and resolve them.
