On one side, we have someone who believes in taking a hands-on approach to things, someone who is relying on someone elses experiences to defend taking such an approach. On the other side, we have someone with personal experience in the medical office who believes that a lecture would be the more fitting method of team training. Both sides have a very different idea of how the training should be handled and both have a different reason to defend their idea. The conflict between Emma and Isabella would require getting them together to talk things over. First, it would be best to listen to both sides of the story, of course. Give each of them a chance to tell me what happened in private, give them some advice to consider individually, and then have a meeting where the three of us go over everything together. It would be important that theyve had a little time to ponder over my previous comments individually because, while that may not allow them to solve the conflict themselves, it would help them prepare more for the discussion that would follow. It would also be important for them to know and understand the effect their conflict could have on both their workplace relationship as well as the workplace itself.
