Scenario Analysis Questions PCC What priority problem(s) did you identify for Christopher Parrish? Risk of aspiration, imbalance nutrition, and knowledge deficit. PCC What potential problems could arise due to Christopher Parrish’s identified Vitamin D deficiency? Decreased bone density, which may cause britle bones that are easily broken. PCC Discuss the relationship between pancreatic enzymes, malabsorption, and CF. Impairs with absorption of nutrients in the stomach. Patient is deficient in necessary pancreatic enzymes .organs that aid digestion such as the pancreas and liver often malfunction and do not efficiently digest nutrients. So, to prevent nutritional deficiencies caused by malabsorptive issues, it is important that theses patients take pancreatic enzymes immediately before their meals to help their digestive tract absorb and digest nutrients properly. It is important to keep these labs in normal range to maintain proper nutrition to prevent compromise his immune system and risk of fall because of vitamin D which is effect his bone . T&C What other interprofessional team members should be involved in Christopher Parrish’s care? He needs education an assistance in figuring out what foods will fit best in his diet. Also, a case worker to help him finding additional resources and support groups to help him cope with his diagnosis.
