In this paper, a Needs Assessment is gathered using four assessment tools. The Needs Assessment helps one to gather all the information of public health to determine the cities health needs and risks. The first tool used in the Needs Assessment is a Demographics Assessment, where one describes the demographics of Sentinel City and the four neighborhoods within Sentinel City, such as population, race, median household income, and persons without insurance. The second tool used in the Needs Assessment is the Neighborhood/Community Safety Inventory, where one describes the safety hazards, drug use, EMS response times, and crimes by observing Sentinel City and the neighborhoods, conducting interviews with the community, and looking at graphs and percentages pertaining to the information above. The third tool used in the Needs Assessment is the Scavenger hunt, where one continues to explore and observe areas within Sentinel City such as: Parks and Recreation, Healthcare System-Elderly Services, City Hall- Social Services, Better Health Clinic, Soup Kitchen, and the Affordable Housing Project. One gathers information of these places by assessing what they offer to the community through the charts and graphs given.
