The influences from the Greco-Roman world are stunning and it was at that time when basic and extremely important things were discovered. If we take a look at construction and architecture, we can see that many of the architecture from the Greco-Roman world still stands today. In the beginning of the Renaissance, Brunelleschi incorporated things like columns which we can see come from the Greek as one of their most descriptive characteristics. We also see arches that they brought back to make their buildings a silent tribute the Roman world that they admired so much. The Medici used history to give a name to their family by studying what had been successful before and bringing it into the Renaissance. The knew about the mistakes that these leaders had also made and took that to create a government were people would be happy with the Medici being their leaders.
