Wal-Mart Macro Analysis 2 Abstract Wal-Mart the largest retailer in the world for many years now; as of 2014 their annual sales were $343,624,000 (Retail, 2015). Wal-Mart has consistently proven ye... ar after year their power in the retail market forces companies to lower the price on any item placed in Wal-Mart stores. It can even be theorized that Wal-Mart has an impact on various macroeconomic variables instead of macro variables affecting them. I believe one of the greatest assets they have at the moment is their personally branded product line Great Value. When companies can leverage large product retailers to off brand their own products it is a win, win for consumers and retailers. Wal-Mart has approx. 5000 US stores and they have started to branch out into smaller “green” healthy style stores and smaller high volume product stores with fast moving items only. [Show More]
