PHYSICS 4361 FLVS Physics - A Lens and Mirror Lab Q&A 2. In one or two sentences, compare the data you collected in Table 1 and Table 2. 3. Explain how the convex lens and concave mirror are r... elated. 4. What range of do values will result in a real image? Infer this information for both the lens and mirror 5. What range of do values will result in a virtual image? Infer this information for both the lens and mirror 6. What does it mean when di is negative? What does it mean when M is negative? It means that the stimulation of the object distance is smaller. 7. What happens when do = f? 8. What range of do values will result in a smaller image? Infer this information for both the lens and mirror Part D: Write Conclusion The purpose of the lab was to compare and find the relationship between how a convex lens and a concave mirror show images. My results are that in comparison, the convex lens and the concave mirror have opposite image types. They are similar in that when the object distance was the same as the focal length, there was no image. When the object distance was twice the amount of the focal length, the image distance was the same as the object distance, and inverted. Any error made during the experiment could have been made while recording the image distance corresponding to the object distances, resulting in incorrect calculations for the focal length.
