Final Project 60 Points (50 points for document, 10 points for Power Point) Students are required to complete a final project. This project can be done in a group or individually. This depends on the... number of students enrolled. The final project must include the learned materials that are covered in the text and in the lecture/chat. If you are forming a group, make sure the project is divided equally among team members. Project can be a new innovation that would create ease of life, work, and leisure for humanity. Or there is/are identifiable problems in an organization that stops them from being effective and impacting revenue negatively or you may find that change will increase existing revenue. Student should fill the position of a consultant is to provide a workable solution. If student(s) chose to work on the problem based project, they should search for a business, a department within an organization, or a start-up. Fine the problem(s) area and identify the problem 4 thoroughly, then provide a solution that involves technology component(s) that have been learnt in the course. The project must develop a clear strategy and with a product or systems introductory plan, innovative ideas that solve problems and provides solutions, as well as revenue generating plans. Students may use any new emerging technology as a niche to gain competitive advantage over the competition. A grading rubric will be provided in Week 1 Blackboard. Each student requires producing a minimum report of between 7-10 pages, as well as, cover page and the reference list page. Other Requirements: Font: 12 pts, Times New Roman. The paper will be left justified and must be double spaced; APA format must be strictly followed throughout the paper. While there are online resources regarding APA Format online, they do not cover the entire book. See Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA) 6th Edition. Power Point Presentation Presentation should present the content of the final project. If working in groups, each person should create about 4-5 slides from their sections that when adds to other students slides the whole topic should flow smoothly. If you are working on the final project alone 5-7 should suffice the requirements. In order to be fair to every student, each assignment is to be submitted once only and please submit your file for each assignment to the correct Drop-box in Blackboard for grading. All time stamps will be according to the time stamps of Blackboard. If one turns in more than one version of the same homework, the instructor will only accept and grade the first version received and grade according to the policies described here. Each accepted homework set is to be graded once only. No extra credit will be assigned. Final Project DocumentOutline This outline is to help you start your project. The titles are guidelines defines of what are the needs and help you organize your thought. Feel free to modify by addingand changing titles according to your project. Executive Summary or Abstract This section should give the reader a short synopsis of the project. Background The environment that this project is going to take place. Is it a Problem or Innovation? What is the problem for this project? Be succinct in providing the reason that this work should be done-not more than two paragraphs. Is this a solution to a problem that can be solved with technology? Or is this an innovation that can help humanity, business, or non-profit and needs at least one of the modules that we learned in this course. The solution should be an implementable solution, with the existing technology. SWOT Analysis SWOT analysis should be done thoroughly. SWOT analysis identifies the immediate issues with organization. Project Goal What is the proposed goal or solution to the problem? What do you hope to achieve with completing this project? Solution What is proposed should be the most profitable, cost effective and expandable solution for the problem? Justify this is the best solution by using ROI or feasibility study.
